Stopped in before hitting the road with a friend who makes it his business to eat at anytime he's in town. This place was pretty good! The service was great and the food was too!! I got a salad and the jojos's and my friends got a couple pizza's plus the small cheese (soooo good). The 2 pizzas were the chef special and the bulldog. If I ever go back to Coos Bay I'll def stop by again and try the taco pizza!

We stopped in for lunch passing through town. We shared the salami oven-baked sandwich and a small plain cheese pizza. The sandwich was very good, with a generous portion of meat, bread was crusty (in a good way) and served with a bag of chips. The pizza: not good. The crust was weird, cracker-like, and overworked. The flavor of the sauce was fine, but there was too much cheese that needed more time to brown a bit. All in all, it was edible, inexpensive and fine - but we felt no need to take the leftovers, and have no desire to ever return.

The pizza is okay, but would have been much, much better had the beer been served cold. Everyone knows that a frosty pitcher and mug does a good pizza make!

It's a sad day to be a local, Gino's pizza is dead. It used to be a favorite of mine, but the new ownership/service has killed it. I been going to Gino's for 25 years, so it was difficult to write them off without giving them multiple chances. The last few times I went there is hardly any cheese on the pizza and it's completely drowned in sauce. So tonight my wife ordered a pizza with light sauce and extra cheese. She told employee that we were unhappy with our pizza the last few times. She explained that she puts plenty of cheese on, but other employees don't think that you need much cheese. So there is no consistency to you what you get. Along with our large pizza we also ordered two sandwiches and a order of Mojos, together it cost $48. Okay so you would think that they would try and get it right this time...wrong. When we got our pizza there was more cheese but it seemed like they put even more sauce on it. My wife called them told them a we didn't receive what we had paid for. She asked for the manger. She was greeted with "what do you want" from the rude manager. She told her that we wished for a pizza with light sauce and that our sandwiches were oozing mayo and sauce from every side (see posted photos). Finally she agreed to make us another pizza, but would do nothing about our sloppy sandwiches, claiming thats the way they are trained to make them. So the manager was so rude that my wife asked me to pick up our pizza. I brought a piece of the pizza to show how saucy it was. She said that they put so much sauce normally that light sauce is like normal sauce now, and we should order "very, very, very light sauce". I showed her a picture of my sandwich and she said they trained to put 1/3 of a cup of mayo on every sandwich. There was NO "I'm in sorry about your experience" more like this the way the ownership wants it so deal with it. That's okay sell it to someone else. We won't be back.

First few times, Fantastic! Had a great cracker crust, good sauce, not overpowering, not slathered on. Unfortunately last visit by my spouse Monday painted a different picture! Crust literally so hard you could hit it on table and not break it, let alone try to bite through it! Toppings had no flavor and sauce was heavy. Hopefully if you go, it will be as good as it used to be. As for my wife and myself, we won't return.

Food was really good. Not a very family friendly establishment. There are no changing tables. I brought my 2 babies, both in diapers. I had to wait and change them in the car, due to NO changing tables in the restroom.

So today I went here with a couple buddies on my lunch from work. We're given an hour, which is a decent amount of time for pizza in my opinion. One of our coworkers arrived earlier than us so he ordered and we showed up and waited. And waited. And waited some more. About 45 minutes later they came out and told us they burnt our pizza and were gonna have to remake it. We said well no we really don't have time to wait for a new pizza...to which she responded "well I can give you some free jojos..." No. Not only do I not have another 45 minutes for you to make me another damn pizza, I don't have time to wait for you to make me jojos either. Which in sure you would screw up anyways. We literally spent our ENTIRE LUNCH BREAK sitting in Gino's waiting for pizza, only to walk out starving and empty handed. What a freaking joke this place is. Save yourself some time and money and eat literally, ANYWHERE ELSE!

Not really our style of pizza. The crust is reminiscent of unsalted saltine crackers, or Matzo dough rolled out very thin and crispy. And the sauce and toppings seem uninspired. We did get a nice large salad of Romaine and other wegetables for $4.99 with a lot of dressing on the side. It would have been nice to get it more than 5 minutes before the pizza though ... The pizza prices aren't that great. The place seems a bit understaffed. And even though we were apparently among the first people there for dinner, the floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped lately. This place does look like a perfect place to take a kid's sport team. But we wouldn't want to be there at the same time. ;-S Also on the upside, there's lots of free parking. There's a good DIY car wash right next door. And it's close to the NB downtown and mall.

The only thing good is the mo joes. Pizza no way. I was so happy someone else paid for that nasty pizza. Also check when the last time was the oil got changed for anything deep fried there. They go way to long between changing the oil.

Yuck. This was probably the worst pizza I have ever had. 99¢ Leftover Pizza pockets from any truck stop Deli Mart are better! The size of the pizza was small for what we paid. ($18.00+) and we ordered a large. ..The crust tasted like you are eating a saltine cracker (blech) the sauce was flavorless and the toppings tasted old. The tables were even kind of sticky.. I wouldn't got back.

Staying at the quality inn down the road and decided to pick up a pizza and cheese sticks for dinner. Place was dim, kinda dingy and there was only 1 family in the place. Kinda figured it wouldn't be that great but it's pizza, how bad can it be? But man was I wrong.... It honestly was the worst pizza I've ever had. The crust was like stale crackers, the cheese tasted old and there wasn't much of it, the sausage tasted like plain ground beef and the sauce was gross. The only positive thing was that the staff was very nice. I don't understand how the owner and staff don't realize that there product is complete crap and do something about it!

It is a shame that this place has gone down hill so much. The prices are way to high for the quality of food that you get. The pizza crust is like a saltine cracker with no flavor. The pizza sandwiches are soggy and not cooked as long ad they should be. The seating is very uncomfortable as well. So over all I do not recommend coming here!

I will say its perfect for groups if you simply want beer and some hot wings, but the pizza is not good at all. The service sucks and they could use some good housekeeping.

Decided to try this spot after overhearing a co-worker talking about taking a potential new partner here for dinner. When I arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty. One side of the restaurant is booths and traditional tables, the other side is composed of long benches, and the kitchen is in the middle. I opted for the two topping, 6 in pizza and salad special that evening for about $10. My order came out a few minutes later. I was completely flabergasted by what I saw. I was expecting a ROUND, 6 in daimeter pizza with a nice salad. Instead, there was an odd shaped piece of cooked dough, it resembled a very sad and misshapen parallelogram. I guess if you measured the two farthest corners, it was about six inches apart. The pizza itself was pretty good, the crust was thin and not too brittle. The salad was just out of the bag with some cheese and dressing put on top. The only saving grace of this place was the taste and crust of the pizza, the mini pizza I got seemed to be made without any thought or care. Like the worker found a bit of leftover dough and decided to make my order from that. I supposed if I had ordered a larger pie I might have a better opinion of the place, but my first impression was only worth two stars.

It had been awhile since we ordered from Gino's. I read the reviews and was a little unsure of ordering from Gino's again because overall they were not recently positive. However, knowing that we had always gotten great food in the past, we decided to call it in. The food was FANTASTIC. We had 4 different sandwiches and each one was amazing. The service was polite, and dinner was ready to be picked up quickly.

3.5 stars. It may have been 4 stars, but I feel like it may have been heavily influenced by the fact that I was starving after day of playing in the sand dunes. Awesome place to come with a big crew of people -- especially at 4PM when it's not too busy. The long tables are convenient to getting the whole group together, but the chibi stools weren't particularly comfortable. The decor at Gino's is definitely old school. It's a bit dark on the inside (even with lots of light outside) especially with the red wallpaper. But hey, you got pizza and beer. Party. Pizza was pretty decent. I like my crusts thin and crispy and Gino's met that criteria. It may have been that we were a large group, but the slices of pizza of their largest pizza were tiny. It was enough that everybody got a slice of every pizza but only because each slice was like three bites. I did appreciate that they threw lots of toppings on the pizza. The toppings are your usual faire. You won't find anything particularly exotic here. Overall, we had a fun time there: pretty good food and plenty of beer. But it seemed expensive for what we got.

A nostalgic event. My wife and her best friend used to come here when they were in high school in the 70s, and so to celebrate their birthdays in 2012 we went back to their old haunt for dinner before a movie. Different owners in the last few years, they've put a lot of work into upgrading the place with new windows, new upholstery and new tabletops while keeping their trademark hand made thin crust pizza LOADED with toppings. The only downside of the whole evening was that we ordered a pizza 1/2 BBQ and 1/2 linguica, and they put Canadian bacon instead of linguica. But, they recognized their error, so when the pizza was delivered to our table, they said a 1/2 linguica pizza was in the oven for us, and sure enough, before we could finish what we had, guess what? MORE yummy pizza to make up for their mistake! The staff was very friendly, and appeared to enjoy working there and serving us. We'll be back!

I don't go Gino's for the pizza as much as the memories. The long tables are a fixture (solid wood) and good luck finding anything close to replacing them. The tables have no bearing on the taste of the pizza. If I really wanted to complain, I would complain about the jukebox selections! Pizza has never been THAT good. Travel outside of Coos County as proof. I have never had a "bad" pizza from Gino's, just ok. Locally, I would rank Gino's behind Dave's, Denny's, Old Town and Brewed Awakenings. In the past, you knew what you were going to get. Presently, if this is what is going to be a Gino's pizza, I can pass and go elsewhere.

Gino's is our most favorite pizza place. When I am in the mood for a thin, crispy crust, I go to Gino's. When you order a pizza ask for extra sauce. That's the way it used to be served. I think the sizes of pizzas have been trimmed down recently too...but I think that is happening all over. The parlor has 2 sides to it. One side is more kid friendly with video games and jukebox and little area for kids to watch pizzas being made. The other side is more of a sports bar area and group party side. The sports bar side has been remodeled, but the family side still has the old red velvet wall paper. They have GREAT sandwhiches! Mojos are excellent too. My wife & I often split a sandwhich and get a side salad each. Their salads are big with nice croutons and a bread stick. I've been going to this place since I was a teenager in High School. Still one of my favorite places.

Honestly, I went to Gino's with about five of my friends that are all really easy to please when it comes to food. Especially pizza! But this pizza was absolutely UNBEARABLE TO EAT! The crust was absolute card board, The slices were pathetically small, prices were way too high for that caliber of pizza, and the place was a total mess. We are still in shock that we actually paid for it. This is my first review. That should tell you how horrible this pizza and overall experience was. Get it together Gino!

Don't know as I've ever had cause to take a rating from a solid 5 star to a 2 in one bad meal. But tonight's was not just bad. It was awful! There is nothing good to write about this particular visit to Gino's, and to think... it was MY big idea! Our first clue should've been the empty parking lot at dinner hour. But I've known this place to serve VERY good food over the years. I've had some bad conversations before at Gino's but never bad food. Until tonight. First, I asked if they had any current coupons (since the pricing is outrageous). I was told "We don't do coupons". Well, they do, because they were wonderful participants offering great coupon values in a fundraising coupon book just a couple years back. Huge success! But apparently, the "using coupons" isn't all that's changed. We ordered appetizers, since this place is known for their variety of overly yummy, deep fried, gooey goodness cooked to crispy golden crunchy browness. Well NOT TONIGHT! We got soggy, half cooked, utterly disgusting looking potatoes and what was supposed to be deep fried zucchini. I complained and asked if they could throw it back in the fryer. Was told they'd give us a new order. So she arrived later with a new order of zucchini (crispier but not a whole lot better). You know it's some nasty potatoes when children won't eat them! I left one huge slice of potato topside up for the cleanup to see how rotted the whole inside of the potato was. Several slices of the uncooked slime actually had rotted out spots that had not been removed! What happened to Gino's? I even asked if it had been bought out, since this bad meal, and nasty feeling aftereffects are not something I've experienced from eating here. Paid almost $65 for one giant, and one small pizza, rotten mushy potatoes and what must have been old frozen zucchini. Oh, and soda pop to drink. Didn't leave feeling good about it. But since the counter help had already told us how SLOW business had been, and invited us to go out and recruit some friends to come eat there... we didn't feel it would do much good to stay and complain. Suffice to say, while there are not a ton of restaurant choices in Coos Bay/ North Bend, this is one I sadly have to cross off my list of favs. It wouldn't have tasted any better at $20 unfortunately, but I'd probably get over it quicker. Everybody was afraid to say how poorly they felt within 30 minutes of leaving. And believe me when I say we didn't even want the leftovers. It's a sad day when a breakfast cold pizza lover generously offers anything edible to someone else to take home. No thanks! One thing about it - there was no noise to contend with this evening. Nobody else there!

On my last visit I got food that resembled a pizza and had no taste whatsoever. Apparently the change in ownership has resulted in a worsening of the product and the service based on reviews made since I posted my original review. It's a shame to see an old friend die.

Best Sauce. Order extra. update: this saddens me to have to reduce this from five stars, but we have given them chance after chance. the giant is not as big as it used to be. the crust is almost always burned. the ownership has changed and i suspect that the ingredients have as well. still a good pizza, but due to its premium price, i am not sure it is better than a chain store. And R.A.P. has a point. The decor hasn't changed since the 1960s. Same mini benches meant only for 6 year olds. And long tables like something out of Medieval England. Same textured red wallpaper that Marlo Thomas might have had in her "That Girl" apartment.. They obviously make no profit on their $30 pizzas, or they choose not to roll it back into remodeling. I suppose they don't have to. The locals consider the place an institution. This is sad. It was my first review. The whole reason I started Yelping was to give this place 5 stars. Oh how the mighty have fallen!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

In the top five of the worst pizzas I have ever had the misfortune to order and pay for. The staff was nice. Crust was flat cracker with a thick tasteless sauce and disturbing toppings. Run for your life!

Whenever we're in the area and want pizza, its gino"s for sure... I enjoy the unique crust and wish pizza everywhere was like it... what a wonderful world that would be! The sandwiches and salads are great too.
